Sessions
Morning : 1000hrs **with Lunch ( recommended )
Afternoon : 1400hrs **with Hi-Tea
Pick-up from Hotel and transfer to Mari-Mari Cultural Village.
Upon arrival, your guide will give a briefing of the do’s and don’ts before going into the village.
Tour commence. Welcoming ceremony by the Murut Tribe Chief. Enjoy a guided tour of each traditional houses and learn about the history, bamboo cooking demonstration, fire making demonstration, blowpipe demonstration and traditional dances in a remote forest setting. You’ll also get to participate in the light activities.
Next, head to the Bongawan River Cruise where Sabah’s wildlife welcomes you. Glide along calm waters as you spot proboscis monkeys, long-tailed macaques, and river birds in their natural habitat. After the wildlife cruise, enjoy a local village-style dinner by the riverside.
As the sun begins to dip, walk out to the Bongawan Sky Mirror—a magical mirror-like sandbank that reflects the golden sunset, perfect for breathtaking photos and unforgettable moments.
The night concludes with a firefly cruise, where the riverbanks glow in the dark as thousands of fireflies light up the mangroves like natural fairy lights. This peaceful and enchanting experience is a perfect ending to your full-day tour.
