Day 1 — Lahad Datu → Tabin Wildlife Reserve
08:00 / 12:00 Depart from Lahad Datu and head to Tabin Wildlife Reserve (about 1.5 hours).
Free time around the reserve in the morning. Relax near the rainforest café and visit the riverside observation platform.
In the afternoon, birdwatch along the main roads with a chance to spot the endangered Bornean Bristlehead.
After dinner, watch a nature documentary before beginning a night jungle exploration to search for nocturnal wildlife and night birds.
Day 2 — Tabin Wildlife Reserve
After breakfast, walk about 20 minutes to the Lipad Mud Volcano.
Enjoy birdwatching, identifying animal footprints, and experiencing the mud volcano area.
After returning to the lodge, enjoy a herbal foot soak to relieve hiking fatigue.
In the evening, go on a vehicle safari to search for nocturnal animals and birds feeding at night.
After dinner, take a night walk along nearby trails to explore more nocturnal bird species.
Day 3 — Tabin Wildlife Reserve → Lahad Datu
Early morning free birdwatching / rainforest walk.
After breakfast, continue birdwatching along the central trails and climb the observation tower to observe birds and mammals.
In the afternoon, around 13:30, depart from Tabin Resort and drive back to Lahad Datu Airport, marking the end of the trip.
